Description of need:
When uploading multiple photos, tags are automatically added when the file contains keywords. I use keywords to keep my photos organized with detailed taxonomy, and export them with keywords to make the ID suggestion faster and accurate. When adding a couple of photos, manually deleting tags is not a problem, but when uploading more it can result in something longer.
There’s a problem I’ve noticed that, when clicking through the ‘x’ to delete them, these text boxes keep appearing and, if you click one of those by accident, all your observations selection is gone.
Feature request details:
Add a ‘select all’ or ‘delete all’ on the Tags section. I’d help to efficiently manage all the tags on the uploading screen of the web platform.
I’m not against this feature, but I’m curious what the main downside is? Just having too many tags showing on observation pages? If so, you or anyone else can always choose to not see Tags on observation pages.
I don’t think that having many tags would be a problem, if that what the user intends, as we can add tags that can be just for personal use, codes, etc. But having to delete each one that may be added automatically could be be done with just one click.
That’s for a general example that can apply to other users.
As a personal example, I’d prefer to not have all the auto-tags like Animalia Chordata Vertebrata Reptilia Squamata Sauria Liolaemidae Liolaemus tenuis vacations chile summer forest camping even if the user can choose to visualize tags.
But it’s faster to have the precise ID “extracted” from the keywords and make many ‘x’ clicks rather than uploading 100 photos and reviewing each ID.
I’m aware that this is a minor request and that there’re higher priority requests that I fully support, but I wanted to post it anyway in case something can be done eventually.
