Atlas / Place boundary issues - wiki

Oh, I see the problem. I suspect what’s happening is that because the atlas is exploded down to level 2 (states) and the boundary error in the map results in that one observation being in Tlalnepantla de Baz (level 3) but not any level 2 subdivisions of Mexico, that’s why it’s showing as not in the atlas. Try exploding the State of Mexico, at least for the duration of the atlased swap; I wonder if that might fix it.

ah, I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! thanks! exploding MX indeed seems to have fixed the issue.
I did notice some other polygon issues; exploding just that state also caused Level 3 places in the neighboring states, but only the ones that had their boundaries overlap the Google place borders of MX, to show up as exploded and unlisted in the atlas as well. I added them all manually but it’s weird that that happened at all…
