This was probably asked before but I couldn’t find anyone else asking this.
Can there be more than one project with the same subject if the only other is badly made or unmaintained?
(I’m not talking about projects like BioBlitz or others with start-end times)
As far as I know there are no regulations regarding project topics; I think the same one can be repeated as many times as users care to repeat it.
Sure, you can make a new project with the same subject as a previous one. If the first project just hasn’t been maintained, you might first try contacting the owner and ask them if they’d be willing for you to take it over and refurbish it. I did that in one case where the owner had moved out of state and was happy to hand it over.
