I’ve noticed recently that if an observation has an existing Life Stage annotation, I get a 400 response when trying to add a new annotation value after adding an ID to which the existing value does not apply. For example, I cannot annotate this observation, which was previously annotated as Juvenile; here’s the response:
I haven’t systematically tested it with other annotations or values.
Can replicate; I also get an error 400 for any value of the life stage annotation I attempt to add, but I can add values for any other annotation. Forcing a re-index by marking and unmarking evidence of organism did not fix the problem. I do not see any Life Stage annotation visible currently.
this seems to be the the same as https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/unable-to-add-annotation-to-a-sighting/57569/6, which staff are already working on a fix for.
Yep, definitely the same thing. Thanks; I looked for an existing report but am blind apparently.
Yep, I had a play around with it after discovering it and it’s for all annotations, not just life stage
