For some reason I am unable to add a life stage annotation to this sighting - when I attempt to add an annotation of ‘adult’, it loads for a bit and then just disappears without adding anything. In the identify window, it’s just stuck on continuously loading:
The same happens when I try to add any life stafe annotation, but the other three annotation categories work normally. I’ve messed with the DQA to try to reindex the sighting and I still have the same problem, so I don’t think it’s that. Any ideas?
Yeah, so what happened here was that the observation was originally IDed as a mantis and annotated as nymph. The mantis ID ended up being deleted and now it’s in lepidoptera, so nymph was hidden but it was still there, blocking any new Life Stage annotation. We removed nymph for this observation which fixed the problem for the individual observation, but not the underlying issue overall, which we’ll investigate a fix for.
Correct; there are hundreds of insect larva observations the past week or so that I would have annotated as Larva but was unable to due to a pre-existing Juvenile annotation value.
