I am starting a project to archive the color variation of death adders. It’s not a huge scientific study or anything, but an interesting study anyway. If you have any death adder photos I could use for the project, please send me them.
Why don’t you search Death adders observations on iNaturalist (from the Explore page) and find images that are freely lisenced? Or you can contact observers of those observations for the permission.
In case you aren’t aware, you can set up a project within iNaturalist to do this with existing observations. You need to be active for a little while on iNaturalist before you can create a project. Projects can be simple collection projects (e.g., collate all observations of death adders from anywhere in the world) or traditional projects (e.g., just the observations of death adders you or others manually select and add to the project). Good luck with your project!
Good idea, thanks for the advice!
Thank you, I did create a inaturalist project. For now it’s more of a archive of adder patterns, but i may do some more serious research with the info in the future
hi, apologies, but I’ve unlisted this topic as the iNat Forum isn’t intended to be a place for promoting projects: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/about-the-general-category-please-read-before-posting/61
