Deleting iNat app?

Hi everyone,

I think I may need to delete the iNat app on my phone because it is taking up many gigabytes. Will my observations be deleted?

Try logging out and logging back in, that should clear the app’s cache and greatly reduce its size.

To the broader question of deleting the app: anything you’ve uploaded to iNaturalist is safe. Those are all kept on iNat’s servers.

I notice that when I go to that option, it warns that my observations will be deleted (from the app). But since I see observations in the app that I uploaded to website before I had the app, they will presumably come back (to the app) if I refresh?
