Different observation counts for same location

These three searches return different observation counts even though the project “Biodiversity of Randall’s Island” is using the place “Randall’s Island Park” for its kml shapefile.

Step 1: Search “Biodiversity of Randall’s Island (project)” and click “view observations”. It returns with 28,822 observations.

Step 2: Search “Randall’s Island Park (island)” and click “view observations”. It returns with 28,824 observations.

Step 3: Search “Biodiversity of Randall’s Island (project)” and click “About”. It returns with 30,012 observations.

The Explore page doesn’t have the same filters – you need verifiable=any and photos=true to match the project requirements.

I get the same results for all three of these:

Oh I see! I didn’t realize the Explore page and project requirements were different. Thanks for the speedy response!
