Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.): Observation will not upload, says ‘error 422’ when attempted. This was not part of any project

is there anything unusual about the observation that you’re trying to upload? can you share a screenshot of the details of the observation?

It looks like the observation was loaded about 7 hours ago: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/232387049

Do you use iCloud Photos at all? I have a feeling some of these may be related to iCloud Photos, and the photo not syncing and the app not understanding how to deal with that.

look at the observation time compared to the submit time. seems like the app might not be properly checking for observation times in the future, as suggested here: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/ive-got-forty-obs-in-limbo-and-i-am-only-getting-request-failed-client-error-422/52051/4.
