Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

When looking for observations in the Supername iNat shows no observations, defaults to a view of the South Pacific, and reports an error.

That’s something with the place itself, it’s a dot: https://www.inaturalist.org/places/south-east-asia

Weird, and the dot isn’t where the map view defaults to either.

Looks like the geometry of the place needs to be fixed.

Have you tried Southeast Asia? I’m not sure about the difference between mapping and searching, but I can get a list of plant species for the region when I search that as a place.

Yes, it’s just a dot - should probably just be removed, which I’ll do in a bit. It was created in 2012 by an unknown user (who perhaps since deleted their account). It contains no observations.

FWIW, if you use the Location search (as opposed to Place) Google draws this rectangle: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?nelat=28.547835118866&nelng=141.0424999521099&place_id=any&subview=map&swlat=-11.10829994452789&swlng=92.17180798439702

You can always string together standard places like countries and provinces to make a Southeast Asia search area, although that won’t include observations made far off of coasts.
