Explore page unavailable

Description of problem: Explore link in menu bar fails to bring up Explore page. Same failure from any iNat page (e.g. My Observations, Community, Identify, etc.)

Step 1: From any main iNat page, click on “Explore” menu button on menu bar.

Step 2: The “D’oh, something went wrong” error message pops up and the Explore page fails to load.

This just started to happen this evening (9/11/25 about 7 pm CDT). I did install a new updated to Chrome about an hour earlier; don’t know if that has anything to do with it.

open up your browser’s developer tools, and note any error messages you see in the console.

Sorry, @pisum. I don’t do anything with the console. I’m not savvy enough.

Explore page errors must have been something temporary. It’s now working properly. A mystery that solved itself?
