Description of need:
The high level groups that are selectable in the trips feature are too broad, and they create the possibility of marking entire families and orders of organisms under them as ‘absent’ from a location due to user bias or disinterest. The alternative is inputting multiple lower taxa groups (species/genera) individually, one at a time - this isn’t really feasible to do if you’re going to be looking for hundreds of species over a longer period of time. I believe allowing the export of lists into a trip would make it significantly easier to passively accumulate a larger quantity of species to look for by collecting them in a list first, and exporting them to your trip in one go. This would also allow you to use lists made by other people in your trip, and potentially even make a list of taxa for someone else specifically.
Feature request details:
I would like another option on the ‘New Trip’ page to export in a list of taxa from the ‘Lists’ feature. Due to there being no way to search for lists, you would be able to select one attached to your account that you’ve made - or select one by typing in it’s number & name (E.g. ‘4407094-Favorites’.) This would export every taxa included in that list to your trip, looking the same as if you were to input them all individually, but functionally way easier and expansive.
