"Failed to save record. Please try again later." error coming up when I try to add an ID

Description of problem:

Step 1: Go to one of the links that I provided

Step 2: Try to click on the “agree” button

Step 3: You will see it takes a second to load and then a box pops up that says “failed to save record. Please try again later.”

There are also other observations that are doing this right now to me and I can provide more links if necessary.

Description of problem: On identify, ID’g unknowns. I get an error message when I apply an ID, saying the request failed. But, the ID of the observation is changed. But also, there is no ID thing showing that I applied the ID.

happening to me too on Safari. iNat has gotten very glitchy in the last 10 mins.

for example, followed a notification for an ID someone else had given on my observation, and couldn’t see their ID. tried updating mine and it failed to save my ID, yet somehow RGed the observation while seemingly having no IDs.

edit: at the same time, 4 observations i was uploading from iNat Next uploaded but failed to retrieve their pictures. i think there’s a site wide glitch happening

and me, just as I am urgently trying to provide an identification of a toxic mushroom, with photos of it on a kitchen table.

Updates- now it shows I applied an ID on the monocot observation, but says I withdrew the ID, which isn’t correct either.

Having same issue on chrome website.

Comments save, but not Identifications or agreements .

It Saturday around most of the world, so I suspect this may be due to the server load with so many of us trying to do things on a weekend.

I mean that would make sense but this never happened before to me and I often ID things on the weekends

Also having this issue. Thought it was my internet, but everything else was working fine. I’ve got things to ID!

Same problem for me when I try to add an id - ‘failed to save record’ pop up. In addition, an observation I just uploaded via my android app is showing properly on the app with the photo. But on the website it says there’s no photo.

Same thing happening when I tried on different computers.

Same here. ID changes community ID correctly, but is not shown. Not among my list of identifcations.

I’m getting the same error. I can leave comments and an note life stages, but my IDs aren’t saving.

Pictures not uploading seems like a whole new bug? Maybe try opening another thread for that?

iNat seems to be in a “bad mood” this evening. I try again tomorrow or on Monday …
