Field meeting for iNaturalists, NW Wales, UK?

Is there any enthusiasm for an outdoor meeting for iNaturalist users in NW Wales? I’m thinking meet late August or early September on a Saturday, 10.30, near Tregarth, not far from a bus route, and visit an area of interesting habitat with few wildlife records. Bring a packed lunch and continue in the afternoon. It would generate useful information about the site and the social side could be as useful if not more so - meet like-minded people, learn field techniques, swap tips, and who knows what future collaborations might result.

If the idea is a goer, my first problem is how to advertise it, given that most iNatters don’t use this forum. I would like to direct mail anyone who has posted iNaturalist observations from Anglesey, Gwynedd or Conwy in 2024. Is it possible to gather their addresses together and send them a group invitation rather than contact them one at a time? About 60 people have posted for Gwynedd so far this month.

the best way to do this re using your time most efficiently would be to create a journal post on iNat, then tag all of the users who you think would potentially be interested

Many thanks for the suggestion. I’ll look into it.
