Seriously, what is going on here? Flowering Plants (Subphylum Angiospermae) has become Flowering Plants (Subphylum Proteobacteria)! It is consistently showing up when I type in an ID to the suggestion box on the Identify page, but once I add the ID it reverts to the correct version.

I’m not seeing this. It’s not listed anywhere I can see that would be confusing. Are you still seeing it? Might be a weird extension or something?

Had to find out for myself, so I went and IDed a few Unknowns. The Flowering Plants appeared as Angiospermae. Could have been a temporary glitch.
It’s gone now.

The taxon mixup has returned. I’m once again seeing it while IDing Unknowns. Too tired to get another screenshot though.
Okay, new problem - sort of. I thought at first this was the same bug in a different form, but actually I think it’s a case of overzealous autotranslate (as described here). Posting it anyway since it is sort of a bug (most likely not within iNat though) and it’s funny.
Why are you using autotranslate? Is that the built-in auto translate in Chrome?
Yeah, for translating comments and notes on observations where the observer uses a different language. I was working on Hong Kong Unknowns, so there were a lot of chinese placeholders.
