What does this notification mean, and how does it work? When I click on my icon (top right) I get a drop-down menu of notifications. All the others make sense…

But, for example, today the “Other Notifications” shows that I have 2 unread notifications, but the pop-up list on the left shows 10 items. How do I find the 2 notifications that I have not read?

I think it’s just those two highlighted ones at the top. If you click them does the #2 go away?

Yeah you have to click on each one to clear it

Anniversary and Popular Link have to be deliberately Dismissed, to make them go away.

You should be able to clear all unread notifications by clicking “Dismiss” at the bottom:
