Getting a List of the Most Recorded Species by a time period on iNaturalist

Dear All,

I’m trying to obtain and view the most frequently recorded species during a specific time period from an iNaturalist project. However, it hasn’t been easy (or maybe I’m just not doing it the right way…). I’d really appreciate your help.

For example, in this project: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/galhas-de-portugal?tab=observations, how can I get a straightforward, sorted list of the most observed species during the month of January?

Many thanks for your help in advance

From that link, click the ‘Search’ button, which takes you to https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?project_id=galhas-de-portugal&verifiable=any&place_id=any

then swap from the observations tab to the species tab

click the filters box, and there is a months menu item where you can select January, which then gives this link: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?month=1&project_id=galhas-de-portugal&verifiable=any&view=species

the thumbnails are ordered from most observed species to least observed

is this what you’re looking for? Or when you say ‘list’, do you mean an actual list? (like a spreadsheet?) If yes, you can click the filters box again, click the download button at bottom right, and then use the export tool to download a CSV file, which you can then easily manipulate and sort in Excel
