I want to see those warbler drawings.

Two of my favorite pictures from my bird feeder. Unfortunately, the feeder’s camera quality isn’t great, so it’s a bit blurry.
Here are a couple if you’d like -

This is really cool! Well here’s one I like, not my best photo, but the main Sulphur Crested Cockatoo is kinda cute!
Hi Nik. So what are you mostly looking for? For inspiration, I mean.
Here’s a Northern Flicker with a bit of an unusual expression. Purely accidental, but the impulse to anthropomorphize is pretty intense. I mean, ‘haughty’ comes to mind.
Color? Texture? Pattern? (Cue the Wood Duck)
Or were you looking more for an in-flight?
Lovely! Nice job.
Do you have a setup with a digital stylus? I’d like to know your setup and software.
I have spent quite a bit of time playing around with digital drawing software/hardware. There’s a lot of pretty neat gear out there and it’s more affordable than most people realize.
I use a Wacom tablet (the screen-less kind), it’s hooked up to my laptop which I have adobe photoshop on (I have the Lightroom-photoshop bundle) as for drawing in photoshop I mainly use brushes I’ve imported from adobe’s free brush library.

This lil chonk would be a rather fun doodle, I think.
Btw I love your artsyle! It’s sort of minimalistic, yet in a way that feels professional like the art of Sir Quentin Saxby Blake , if he drew black and white and made his art a lot more realistic. Keep drawing dude!
The fourth one is a suspicious bird… (not
)
I am honestly thinking how your best shots look like if these are the ‘terrible’ standard! ![]()
Haha, my pics are probably worse know than they’ve been, as I haven’t photographed birds since last January. I suppose I could bring my telephoto lens back out this Spring, but we’ll see. :)
I was wondering the same!
I’m the admin of the Sunbathing Birds project. If you want to see selection of ridiculously posed birds from around the globe, here you go!
Neat project! But maybe you can help me answer a question about this activity.
How about anting? In the absence of obvious things like an anthill or visible ants, is it still possible that a bird sunbathing to ’bake’ off parasites might instead be trying to get small ants to do a clean up?
Birds of paradise would be fun, given their insane attire. A lyrebird would by cool too!
