And if I can’t, just know https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/618197-Scolopsis-taeniata is what I want to change.
Below the “Charts” section, click the Curation button, then “Edit Photos”
You don’t need to be a curator to do this.
Not a fish identifier - but I would prefer one of the LIVE pictures myself.
Also that default picture is from Flickr, not an iNat obs.
Thank you. The colours are hugely different in life and death!

Thank you - but again, I would prefer the default taxon picture to be from a RG obs.
This issue is one of which I trust humanity and the community. Sometimes I have taken a good photo of a taxon and put it in the first place, and sometimes I have removed mine and put one of another user’s that looked better. I’d like to think that others do the same.
I don’t see any “Edit photos” when I click the curation button.
It doesn’t appear.
Than perhaps a bug report could help?

I have unfortunately no idea, what happened, that you can’t see it.
Have you checked it in another browser?
I don’t know what the cut-offs are, but iNat users need to have a certain amount of activity, probably some combination of # observations and IDs, to be able to edit taxon photos. For now, you can click Curation>Flag for curation to let someone know which photo(s) you’d like to update.
You should be able to do it now.
