How long does it take to respond to a request for curator status?

Dear curators, please tell me:
Approximately how much time passed from the time you submitted your application for curator status until it was approved/disapproved?
In case of possible disapproval (If this happens. I don’t know the statistics), can I count on a list of things that I should improve in my work on the site to be more worthy of this status?

I don’t see an application from you. Perhaps there’s a bug that’s preventing one from being sent or generated.

OK, there was a bug that prevented some applications from reaching us. I’ll work through the backlog next week, I’m sorry about that.

Great to hear another curator application. The system urgently needs more people to contribute on the curation. However, it also really needs better integration of new curators with those people who are already invested. Perhaps when any new curators get accepted, there can be a something posted in the curator section of the forum to introduce them and their interest (e.g. scope and specialism), hence at least a chance for others to welcome and see how they hope to contribute.
