How to exclude user-specified taxa in a search?

There are many useful filters in iNat’s search function, I genuinely love it. One additional filter I think would be very helpful is a filter to exclude taxa, to narrow down a search. I may want to search for observations of a genus but they are dominated by a single, very common species, and I’d like specifically to see the observations of all the other species. It would be help for questions like e.g. “sugar maple is so common, and I know how to ID it, but what are the other maples in my area?”—Search genus “Acer”, exclude species “Acer saccharum”.

add &without_taxon_id=[taxon ID of your taxon] to the URL
you can find the taxon ID by going to the taxon page of a species.
there are lots more URL hacks here: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/how-to-use-inaturalists-search-urls-wiki/63
