I can't create a new place

I have 50 verifiable observations and would like to start a new project based on wildflowers in my local park. I am trying to create a new ‘place’ so i can define the boundaries of the project, but I can’t. The park is about 300 acres and one of the biggest suburban park in Dublin, Ireland.

As per the getting started page (https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/getting+started) I should be able to add a new place once I’ve uploaded 50 verifiable observations, but the add places button isn’t coming up.

Is that just a feature for other countries? Do I need to wait more than 1 day after I’ve uploaded my 50th verifiable observation? Or should I be able to and the button just isn’t appearing?

I use a lenovo laptop with chrome, on the webpage https://www.inaturalist.org/places. Image of what I see when i go into this page.

There is a delay after you’ve uploaded enough observations.

Looks like you have the privilege to make a place now. Like Marina said, it can take a little while for the system to recognize that you’ve met the requirement. We run a check every hour or so - otherwise we’d have to be running a check on almost every new observation that’s being uploaded.

I have the same problem. I got to 50 about 5 days ago though :(
No ‘add a place’ button below my Places map. Do users need to be manually approved to upload places?

You have 50 total observations, but only 44 verifiable observations. If you add a few more verifiable observations, it should automatically give you place creation permissions.
