Cannot create a new place after reaching +50 verifiable observations 10 hours ago

Description of problem : I’ve reached this morning the +50 verifiable observations, according to the INaturalist rules and help section. I’ve read in that guide as well as in this forum that sometimes it can take about an hour to see the “new place” button appearing in the “places” page. However, it’s almost half a day and nothing change : there’s still no button to create it. What’s wrong? I’m new in this site and I have thousands of data to add to that new place to create. Thanks for any help!

Other people have had this problem (I have vague memories of forum posts) – I think it just takes some time before all the various databases update and your new permissions get activated.

looks like this user successfully created a place and collection project the next day. so this bug report probably be closed.
