ID's not being registered

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):This observation has 4 ID’s, but the data quality, etc. indicates that there isn’t a community ID, since there aren’t at least 2. It used to be RG, as far as I can tell from my own notes.

i can confirm this, looking at the observation details in the AWS dataset metadata from 2021-04-15 and 2022-07-27, before and after the last identification noted on the observation.

the observaiton was last updated on 2024-04-19 01:05:42 (-05:00), but the last identification was made on 2021-10-25, and it’s not clear to me what changed on 2024-04-19.

that said, for things like this, i would always be tempted to just update the observation by making any change (ex. changing one of the data quality assessments) to see if that causes the observation to go back to a normal state.

if iNat staff can look at their logs to see what happened during the update on 2024-04-19, that could shed some light on what happened in this particular case. but if they aren’t able to do that, or if they don’t plan to do that, then it’s probably time to close the bug report.

Logs only go back 45 days so it’s not possible. I’ll close this report.
