General updates
- Over 4 million accounts have added at least one verifiable observation!

- iNat released its Product Goals for January–June 2026!
- Published results of iNat’s first ID-a-Thon and Identifiers Survey!
- A new Computer Vision model was released!
- Released a demo for a different way to handle infraspecies IDs.
Product updates
Website
- The Identify page has now been moved to API version 2. Let us know if you see any software bugs there.
- Minor bug fixes.
iNaturalist (new app)
Released version 1.0.14 (194).
- It now uses Computer Vision model 2.20 as its onboard model. Previously it was using 2.17. IDs that come from the server will always use the newest model.
- Bug fix: when navigating the taxonomy tree on taxon pages, swiping back will retain all pages you go to
- Bug fix: when editing a saved but unsynced observation, tapping the back arrow should now work
Android
- No updates, but bug fixes are being worked on
Seek
Released version 2.17.8 (410)
- Fixed the bug that prevented photos from being saved in many cases for iPhones. Macro mode is temporarily disabled, though. See more on this bug report.
- Seek now uses Computer Vision model 2.20. Previously it was using 2.17.
