General
- iNaturalist Announces a $10 million dollar grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. Donations will be doubled or tripled until December 31st
- Computer Vision Model 2.7 released, which includes the new Geomodel
- All iNaturalist accounts must now have confirmed emails
- iNaturalist co-directors @kueda and @loarie, as well as users @gyrrlfalcon and @prakrit, were interviewed on San Francisco public radio.
- Continued work on new mobile app - in pre-Alpha testing with staff
- Continued work on API v2. Curators can test it and provide feedback, see this thread.
- Many additional translations throughout the websites and apps - you can help.

- Bug fixes: Wikipedia URLs are now encoded correctly, small bug in project exports fixed
Android
- Versions 1.29.11 (585) and 1.29.14 (588) released - bug fixes, photo picker fixes.
iOS
- Versions 3.2.14 and 3.2.15 released - various bug fixes, changed “Seen Nearby” to “Expected Nearby” to go along with Geomodel release.
Seek
- Released September challenge
- Released version 2.15.2 - bug fixes and the email address on the About screen is now tappable
