Hi, new member in iNaturalist and can’t seem to find information on what the letter symbols are in the pins of my uploaded observations.
They correspond with some of the pins on the map to the right at https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/ovidionasone Zoom in closer to see the pins with letters on them.

Thanks, will the letters remain with those pins? As I add more observations I’m guessing can’t keep using letters…
No, they correspond with the observations shown on the page. For example, go to different pages of observations at https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/tiwane
Ah yes, thanks for that. Just curious, in case I missed it, I looked through the FAQ did not find this explanation. Is there one someplace?

No, there isn’t an FAQ page for this.
Also, the letters update with each new upload. The “A” will always be the most recent upload.
