Carrie previously said that you can’t create places that have more than 500000 observations, though it seems like the current limit is 200000. Under either limit there are too many observations in that ecoregion to create a new place for the whole thing.
From iNat’s perspective, it’s much better to piece together existing places than create large new ones.
