Maximum size for range map?

Have tried to add the .kml IUCN range map for Canada Goose, which is 72767kb, but receive a message: ‘413 Request Entity Too Large’. Is there a maximum allowable size for range map files, and is there a way around this?

I’m not sure what the maximum size is, but did you try simplifying the geometry to make the file smaller before importing?

Pretty sure the limit for curators is 5mb. Anything larger can only be done by a site employee.

Thanks both. Simplifying geometry is a bit beyond my current qGIS skills, so just downloaded and converted the IUCN map
