A telephoto lens or an intro underwater camera/housing for sure. I currently have just been using my school issued camera and lenses for iNat as I’m in a photography class, I don’t know what I’ll do when I don’t have that class next year. I have a GoPro for underwater footage, but at some point I’d love to feel confident diving with an actual camera to get photos.

A specimen container for holding tidepool creatures for better photos. All I currently use are empty plastic sour cream tubs.

That’s sounds awesome!

That would be nice.

A donation to a conservation organization for the purpose of protecting land from development or intensive use by people. I don’t really celebrate Christmas, but a donation like this would make me happy whatever the occasion.

A subscription to a local arboretum

I like this idea so much. It shows that you don’t only care about yourself but you care for the protection of the land and the animals.
God Bless!

They used to sell these awesome acrylic photo tanks for microfishing on Angler’s Emporium. It looks like they are sold out now though. Not sure when they would restock. They’re mainly sold and used in Japan.

Field guides for cool things I haven’t seen before! Currently on my mind are flying fishes, cicadas, maybe even dandelions haha. In the past few years I’ve accumulated ones for hover flies, plants in general, dragonflies, lichens… Such a great way to learn about what’s out there, but it never ends.

I want to see a snowy owl. Three have already been reported here in Ohio in the past week or so. OK… gift… Maybe a warm hat from the Cleveland Metroparks to use when I see the snowy owl.

Project Snowstorm used to have Snowy Owl winter hats, but I don’t think their supplier exists any more…

How about 10 new animal species that I’ve never seen or photo’d before in the wild, to appear before me during the Christmas - New Year week. Oh, and they have to pose well for the photos.
