The only thing that’s missing is trilliums. And dandelions. And warblers. And spring beauties, and vernal pools, and Big Nights, coltsfoot, leafout, maple syrup birch sap nesting phoebes cardinals singingwildstrawberriesplantingbeansandsgjkwktgbrwgkw
Oh, is that a lot?
This should be a top 100.

You know what would be more effective?

There. It’s done. Now we can all stop posting every one of these five separate times.

Lol, if ppl did that then this thread would be five replies long, each just a link to a comic series.

Or better yet, people would start looking outside the same five series. Sure, a nature-focused series like Bird and Moon is going to provide endless nature-focused comics. But what is even more interesting is when we can find nature-focused comics in a series that is not ordinarily nature-focused.

While only included as a ‘bonus’ in the original post, I would love to see more attempts at listing the species that feature in each comic.

This one features Prothonotary Warbler, Mourning Warbler, Canada Warbler, Cerulean Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, and Olive Warbler.

And this one, a moose (alces alces), a gambel’s quail (callipepla gambelii), a red-shafted northern flicker (colaptes auratus), and a squirrel (I’m not too good with mammal ID)

I don’t get it. Could someone please explain?

My phone is the important bit, a cat is irrelevant?
Some hidden context makes it funny?

We say they’re dangerous, but there are different ways to be dangerous - and what he’s describing is not what’s expected?
I’m not good at analysing such things, but I think the amusing-ness is the unexpected twist of known facts being taken in a weird direction. If that makes any sense.

With any humour, if you don’t find it funny, I’d say just move on to something you do find funny - because different senses of humour can be very different. My local paper has a comic that I find distinctly non-funny at least nine times out of ten, and probably around half of those I don’t even understand what they’re trying to get at…
