Newfoundland & Labrador not an official place?

Hi, I noticed that the Canadian province of Newfoundland & Labrador is not an official place on iNaturalist (the only Canadian province for which this is the case). When one enters this province, iNaturalist throws a rectangle on the map that includes parts of three other provinces (Quebec, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia), as well as the French sovereignty of St. Pierre & Miquelon and even a tiny sliver of the state of Maine! (thank you my American friends for ceding a small part of your beautiful country to us! :). The same is true for the Canadian Northwest Territories (but the other two territories map correctly: Yukon and Nunavut). I am wondering why one province and one territory of Canada are treated differently than all the others. Can we make NL and NT legit?

Greetings from the beautiful white north!

If you use the Location search instead of the Place search, iNat won’t find the province because there’s a bug with names that are too long. Unfortunately, the bug probably won’t be fixed until the entire Explore page is rewritten, so until then, please use Filters->More filters->Place

(if you’re interested in the details of the bug, please see https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/boundaries-of-the-northwest-territories/40001/4)
