Description of problem: As a Chinese user, when I tried to search the name for an observation using Chinese, the app always quit suddenly after I typed in the spells of characters for about 2-5 seconds (But if I typed really fast to change the spell into Chinese characters, it can somehow bypass that problem and search with Chinese) , so I usually had to search the English name of the species. This problem does appear in most of the time but sometimes may not.
In the photo above it shows that “Non alphanumeric characters not allowed inside search word”, is it a restriction or a problem? I hope this can be solved because it is very inconvenient to search the English name everytime. :(
Step 1: Just try to upload some photos for an observation;
Step 2: Try to search a name with Chinese characters with its spell;
Step 3: usually when typing the second spell the bug appears.
Like the the photo I showed in the second step when I tried to type “tiao zhu“ which is the Chinese term of jumping spider, and just after I type the second character “zhu” representing “spider”, the app quit immediately before I can take a screenshot.
