Not receiving email notifications though it is selected in my settings
I haven’t got an email for months now…I actually forgot about it until just now…
Have you checked your trash or spam? I wasn’t receiving any emails, but found they were all going to my trash automatically.
This has also happened to me. My last notification was on 11 August. My settings are correct, messages are not going to spam or trash.
Yea, same. My setting are correct and nothing in junk etc. Thanks for the camaraderie.
Did you ever click Unsubscribe in an iNat email that was sent to you?
My understanding is that if you unsubscribe via the link in the email, iNat will continue to generate emails for you, but they won’t be delivered by the email service because the email service has you marked as unsubscribed. If that’s the case, I think the only fix is to submit a help ticket for someone on staff to restore the subscribe setting.
@jwidness is right. If you have an old email you can go back to, try clicking “unsubscribe” again, then “view opt-out preferences” to see what you’ve previously opted out of.
@pbrastow and @garlicdog you had unsubscribed from “transactional emails” which includes the daily updates (and direct messages). I’ve re-subscribed you both so you should start getting them again tomorrow.
@jeremy_rolfe your email provider started blocking emails from iNaturalist. I’ve submitted a safelist request but I also encourage you to reach out to them about allowing emails from no-reply@inaturalist.org.
