Notification: Mark as unread (would be 'fab')

Just now I saw an ID for one of my less usual records, I was enthused by it, did not have time to reply, but I very much want to not forget to reply later.
Email usually has the option to mark a message as unread so that it stays in the upper section of the email list.

Am I the only one to very much like that feature to be implemented here too? Would that be a simple 1hr scripting thingy (probably not)?

Hope to hear from you
cheers
Gerben

I’d vote for that if you make a feature request.

You can save it though through favs or bookmark in browser or even mark it to read later (in Chrome at least it’s an option).

Yeah, that sounds cool, though I personally wouldn’t use it much. Maybe your ā€œunreadā€ notifications could remain in the speech bubble thingy instead of disappearing once you see that they’re there. Make a feature request!

This is already on deck for the notifications revamp, see https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/notifications-on-inaturalist-please-share-your-ideas/374/180 and the two following comments.

As a reminder, we’re not currently accepting feature requests for notifications, but will open back up after the new system is released. I don’t have any knowledge of a timetable for that.

How is that option called?

I’ve been waiting for it the entire time I’ve been on iNat!

When you right click on tab - choose ā€œadd to reading listā€, then on the right part there’s a button for this list with saved links. I’m using Russian version, so it may be called differently.

There are several options. As @fffffffff mentioned, one way is to save observations in ā€˜Favorites’. Another way is to ā€˜fave’ an observation and then go back to it.
