Number of observations different on site and app

I’m curious as to why I have different total for number of observations on the app vs the browser site. online when I look at the ‘your observations’ page, it says I have 2566; on the app, it says I have 2688. not sure if its a bug or an issue on my end.

App version number: 2.8.7, build 558

I think observations get duplicated on the app sometimes. I have one extra observation on the app and once one of my observations was duplicated. You can’t view other peoples profiles on the app so I’m assuming your profile is stored in a save file on your phone and not retrieved from a web server every time you open the app, leading to the error not updating.
