Observation fails to load

I tried several times loading this observation but it never loads. All other observations load properly. I have never run into this problem before.

The strange thing is that the metadata of the observation appear in the page title

But it looks like there are no observations for that species when checking from the species page itself (https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/239548-Astragalus-robbinsii-fernaldii)

Edit: going to the user’s profile, constraining the search to 2009 and looking for milkvetches I reached this observation, which seems to be the relevant one (and I can see your comment @matthias22) >>> https://uk.inaturalist.org/observations/327690418

It is a different observation from the same user. It loads properly.

interestingly it seems to be affecting a whole sequence of observations, if i edit the url to a slightly larger number it still happens, though clearly for a different obs (as the site name displayed on the tab is different)

Ok, so it’s clearly a bigger problem. iNat staff probably needs to take a look at this @tiwane

Interestingly, not all observations within a series of consecutive observation numbers are affected:

The problem seems to have started shortly after the observation https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/327610051 was added at 22 Nov 2025 03:46 GMT. This appears to correspond with the downtime reported yesterday at more or less the same time. So maybe some pending uploads were left in an indeterminate state.

There were some website glitches earlier today, observation seemed to be created successfully, but I could not open it ever since. It does not show on my observations page and it does not count for the totals, but I can still see it on my calendar page:

I would like to delete it because I have re-uploaded as a new observation, but I can’t access the delete option…

OK, these should be fixed. Probably related to the short unexpected downtime on the 22nd. They just weren’t indexed properly. Thanks for letting us know.

did you fix only the ones reported here? or did all of the ones in that window get fixed?
