Observation Upload Page Freeze

please note the missing buttons such as the submitting button as well as the information areas

Step 1: Upload pictures of observations

Step 2: Group related pictures together

Step 3: Fill out information over time (where it freezes up on me)

  • how many images are on this page? does it also happen if you only have like 1 or 2 photos to combine and import?
  • how are you combining the images? dragging and dropping? selecting and using the combine button?
  • does it happen on any other browser? I’ve actually never heard of Arc, and it might be non-standard enough that our site has some incompatibilities with it. It would be great to know if this is a browser-specific issue.

I had abut 200 photos which was probably why the page freezed now that I reflect back on the incident and I used the combine button. I have not tried it on other browsers yet since I was able to submit all the observations with all related pictures combined and edit the location setting afterwards.

I suspect the issue is that your computer is running out of RAM and I’d recommend not putting more than 50 images or so on the upload page at any time.
