Web Uploader failure

Please fill out the following sections to the best of your ability, it will help us investigate bugs if we have this information at the outset. Screenshots are especially helpful, so please provide those if you can.

Platform (Android, iOS, Website): Website

App version number, if a mobile app issue (shown under Settings or About):

Browser, if a website issue (Firefox, Chrome, etc) : Chrome

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages:

Screenshots of what you are seeing (instructions for taking a screenshot on computers and mobile devices: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/):

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):
Some observations from a batch, images and metadata, fail to upload.

Step 1: Load several images into the web uploader. Combine images into observations, add metadata etc.

Step 2: Submit

Step 3: Review in https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/. Observations missing. Force reload, still missing.

Step 4: Try again in new upload session - it works!

Most recent failed attempt was alongside this successful upload.

How many photos are you adding to the uploader page? I assume you’re not seeing any error messages, correct? A screen recording of your process would be great, if possible.

Sometimes I’ll add 5 or 6, sometimes 20 or more. They all appear in the uploader. I then combine them into observations, perhaps 3 or 4 per observation. Add ident, and location, perhaps remove some irrelevant tags and click Submit. Sometimes all of the observations are uploaded and saved, sometimes not.

How are you combining them - drag and drop, or using the Combine button? Can you please are screenshot of what the page looks like before you hit submit? Here are instructions for how to take a screenshot on several types of devices: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org

Here’s the screenshot:

All these were successfully saved.

I use DnD for combining images but that doesn’t appear to be relevant since even an observation with a single image can fail to be saved.
