Description of problem:

Observations from some members of a project are not showing up on the project. All observations meet the criteria. Project also not showing on “Add to Project” when trying to add observations manually. Said users have joined the project, and have been added in the “Include Users” observation requirement.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

You can’t manually add observations because they are added automatically based on the criteria. Can you provide links to some observations you think should be included but aren’t?

All the observations from this user fall under the project’s criteria. Observations from other users along with us have already appeared

The observation location accuracy is too large and breaks the place bounding box, see https://help.inaturalist.org/en/support/solutions/articles/151000169942-why-is-my-observation-not-showing-up-in-a-place-or-collection-project-i-know-i-observed-it-there-

The observation radius still fits inside the city’s map area though with enough allowance. I use a similar observation radius for sensitive species and it still gets picked up on projects set for the city. I will have him narrow some of his location accuracy and see if it helps.

Note that non-wild organisms are not included in this year’s CNC. I’ve marked this as non-wild, so even if the location is altered it still won’t appear in the project, unless someone counters my vote. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/354079073

The user-specific filter, the Casual filter, and the times should be removed in the settings if this is a City Nature Challenge event. I don’t see it on the city list though.

Users should only edit the accuracy radius/value if they believe it is incorrect or there is a smaller area they are certain that the observation is in. They shouldn’t edit the value just so that it falls within a certain project/location, etc.
