Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

Step 1: Visit website

Step 2: Look at location below map (Carter Co., OK) and compare with actual location which is in Erath Co., TX. What’s odd is that I have made observations in Carter Co., OK–but this one is indeed in Erath Co., TX.

Step 3:

Did you edit the location or select a saved location in that county before moving the marker to the right spot?

It’s likely that I uploaded multiple observations with Carter Co., as the location, and changed the location for one/some of them soon after. But I don’t recall specifically if that’s what I did.

That happened to me a few times before.

I think not a bug: sometimes the locality note, where it says “Carter County, OK, USA” gets decoupled from the map pinpoint - but intentionally. e.g. I might manually type in there that I saw something “10 m SE of trailhead at Park X” and then move the map pinpoint a little bit. Rather than it deleting my text and writing over it to say “Cook County, IL, USA”, it keeps my trailhead locality note. But, that does mean it can cause the issue you encountered.

Oh, I didn’t know that was a locality “note” box where what you type sticks–I thought it behaved like the locality box elsewhere in the system. I’ve cleared the locality “note”.
