Photographing Cicadas

That’s cool. Do you have anything like the Gaeana that I have seen in Hong Kong – wings black with white spots so they look like butterflies when they fly?

Yep. Big black and yellow ones, the Speckled Black Cicada (Gaeana maculata):

We don’t have as many cicada observations as we probably should:

I got one of my staff into photography and he’s been keen on insect and arthropod photos, so most of the cicada photos are his.
