Description of problem:
I (@botaflo) created a new place on iNat, named “La microferme du Bon Endroit” (place_id=230614) on April 2, around 10h am. The same day around 10h pm @celineg64 added an observation located within this place. The observation has precise lat/long coordinates which place it within the area covered by the place (rather around its center, not on the border). The coordinates are open to the public.
When I want to filter the explorer to see only obs’ made on this place, it does not show celine’s obs.
My hypothesis, but I don’t know if it really has an impact ?
A) the obs is dated BEFORE the place was created on iNat, but I doubt this could explain the filter failing to fetch the obs, right ?
B) the location of the place is accurate (the center is on the right spot) but the precision is maybe to high (178 m) and probably exceed the place’s border ? But anew, I don’t get why it should prohibit the obs to be fetched since the coordinates are correct… ?
Many thanks in advance for your help
Florent (@botaflo)
