I have tried to figure out how to remove the above referenced list, but cannot figure it out for the life of me. I find it constantly gets in my way and have to do additional panning. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can use full view without them, but it’s impossible to remove those from regular page, you can like comments with the same idea as yours here: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/ideas-for-a-revamped-explore-observations-search-page/8439
