Resources for the family littorinidae?

Hi!
I’m interested in learning more about the family littorinidae, mostly from reading Adam Nicolson’s book Life between the tides which had some really interesting content about tidal ecology. Are there any good resources to learn more about this family?

Welcome to the forum! And it’s always a pleasure to find someone interested in learning more about snails! What sort of information are you looking for? Ecology? IDs for a particular region? I don’t know of anything like “Periwinkles of the World” or something like that.

Probably ecology, just any general Information song with any other resources on malacology you recommend!

Well that would be quite the list! I can’t think of any general mollusk ecology resources, but I’m sure they exist and any ID book will have an ecology section. I have a hodge podge of mollusk sources on my profile, although most are for various IDs on the West Coast of North America. Here’s some other sources I found for Littorinidae:

There’s quite a lot of literature on malacology so it really depends on what you’re looking for.

Thank you so much! I’ll take a look through these sources

I have a few photos of these taxa from South Africa, if you’re interested?

You are more than welcome to upload these to iNat!
