On Chrome, the parenthesis on scientific names are sometimes misplaced. If I manually refresh the page, it fixes itself and will not happen again within that tab. Kind of a weird one! Have not seen it in Safari or other browsers yet.
Conditions for replication are as follows. On an observation, it occurs if the taxon changes while I’m on it (e.g. if I hit agree or enter a new overriding ID). On taxon pages, it occurs anytime if I navigate to another taxon level with a common name like genus or family.
Maybe not relevant, but I have my pages set to display scientific name first, followed by the English common name in parens. I haven’t seen the misplaced parentheses in this format.

Description of problem: Updating community taxon on an observation page for an observation above species-rank with a species-rank ID causes the parentheses to display to the left of the scientific name. It does this every time I add a “leading” species-rank ID to an observation with a community taxon above species-rank. I have not tested this in other views (e.g. scientific first or scientific only). It fixes itself when the page is refreshed. Has been happening for at ~24 hours, and has been tested on two computers.
Step 1: Go to an observation at above species-rank for which community taxon can be changed to species-rank with one ID.
Step 2: Add a species-level ID.
Step 3: Parentheses display in the wrong position.
