SEEK app closes

Please fill out the following sections to the best of your ability, it will help us investigate bugs if we have this information at the outset. Screenshots are especially helpful, so please provide those if you can.

Platform (Android, iOS, Website): android

App version number, if a mobile app issue (shown under Settings or About): 2.12.6 (188)

Browser, if a website issue (Firefox, Chrome, etc) :

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages:

Screenshots of what you are seeing (instructions for taking a screenshot on computers and mobile devices: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/):

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

Step 1: choose a Photo to Send it to inat

Step 2: As the location is missing, put it in

Step 3: while trying to change from official to hidden, the app crashes and closes…

I think I I updated the app yesterday, so it is this new version which causes this error.

I hope, that it can be fixed easily.

Sorry about this, @seeker1000. This should be fixed in the next release.

What does changing from official to hidden mean? I’m just starting to try out the Seek app. Thank you.

I’m actually not sure about that part. @seeker1000 can you clarify?

You normaly can choose how the location should be send to inat, so that people don’t see exactly where you did the picture, but the area, maybe the village or something like that.

And when I go to “location” the app closes and I can’t upload via SEEK.

I upload manually via the inat app the last days, but it is a bit complicated that way, as you have to put in the knowledge about the observation and the location manually.

Thanks for looking into this. :)

And @sgene: Check out the challenges on SEEK they can get you to look for Species, which you have never looked closely before. :)
At least, that is what happened to me.
And now I love to watch out for insects. Lol
