Show “My observations” grouped per species

Platform(s), iOS app

URLs app

Description of need:
When grouping observations per species it should the amount of observations per species, but when clicking on “x observation”, it just shows the species page instead of the observations for that species. It seems counterintuitive.

Feature request details:
Make a link in the amount of observations per species that would open a search filtered by “your” observations for that species.

What’s “intuitive”, I would argue, is not the same for every person, and it’s often not a useful adjective. I think the current behavior is also what many people would expect: I see the species, I want to learn more about it so I tap on it, and the observations number is just extra info telling me me how many times I’ve observed it.

IMO the best thing to do here would be to add a button that shows me all of my observations of an taxon from its taxon page. I think making the checkmark icon on the taxon page (which already shows me I’ve observed this organism) a link that takes me to all my observations of the taxon is probably the best solution and gets you to your observations of that taxon in two taps.

You may already know this but just in case…links to observations of individual species are already provided. For example, click the link “8 Observations” above the name “Hawksbill Sea Turtle” to retrieve the eight observations of that taxon.

Actually that’s what I would like as a feature, but when I click on it (on iOS app) it just opens the species page.

When you click on “X observation” it shows your observations under these species?

I see your point and I think you’re right about not changing the link, just adding another one on the “X number of observations” having both.

Also I posted the request without finishing so I finished the editing.
