Description of need:
Some questions about the seek app and not only, which could be a request for a new feature.
I start by saying that I don’t use the iNat app but I prefer to collect photos and only then send the observations via web from the PC after having done some resize/crop
I use seek mainly to remember the names of plants and other organisms, when I encounter them, which I think I have already sent to iNat, or on the contrary to verify that the specimen of the photo I took is not yet among my observations on iNat and deserves further shots or it is better to resume the walk and avoid inserting repeated observations.
Lately after having collected about 900 photos in the DCIM/camera/seek folder I noticed that after the shot it became extremely slow or completely blocked; is there any trick to restore the original speed? (Seek 2.16.3 (360) on Android 14 (One UI 6.1) Samsung A53 5G)
Having to move to a new android phone, can I preload the seek photos by simply copying them from the old phone? I am not interested in badges but only in finding the species already observed.
Feature request details:
I also notice that often “seek” provides a more approximate / incorrect ID than the site suggestions; so is there an app that allows you to quickly use the site’s CV to have a reliable ID of the organism observed (by me) and show, based on my||other observations, if it has already been observed, and also date and distance from the current GPS coordinates?
I hope there is a plugin that has these features for the iNat or seek app.
