Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

Step 1: when making an observation, tap “add an ID”

Step 2: tap the magnifying glass in the top right

Step 3: a list of the 11 pre-selected taxa automatically appears, but trying to scroll down that list stops at Amphibians. Can’t access the last few choices

If you click “return” it should make the keyboard disappear and you can access the rest of the list. But it does seem unintuitive. I’d suggest it’s probably okay to hide the keyboard when the user pulls down on the end of the list - they can make it reappear by tapping on the text input box again.

Pressing “return” is a workaround to the problem. Thank you.

If we had the choice, we still want the ability to scroll all the way through the iconic taxa list even with the keyboard active.

Even if developers start the page with no active keyboard, this won’t resolve access to the full taxa list once the keyboard is activated unless the user figures out to press “return.”

Your idea to have the keyboard disappear once the user scrolls down also would solve the issue

Thanks for pointing this out! I made a github issue to make it such that you can scroll through this list to the end even when the keyboard is visible.

This bug is not limited to scrolling for the iconic taxa. We just experienced it searching for a location in Explore: we couldn’t scroll the entire list behind the keyboard

True, I’ll add this to the issue.
